An unfortunate surprise for a 55-year-old from Muravera, who hoped to buy a used car at an affordable price, thanks to an ad on the web. In fact, the man paid 300 euros as an advance, requested by a self-styled seller for a Mitsubishi L200.

The payment was made by reloading a Postepay Evolution card, but the 55-year-old soon discovered that the car did not actually exist and that the proposed deal was actually a scam.

After the complaint, the carabinieri of the Muravera station managed to trace the scammer: a 32-year-old resident in the province of Bergamo, who was reported to the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office.
