The prognosis has been partially dissolved and the 30-year-old from Paulilatino, stabbed on Sunday, would not be in danger of life. Even if Daniele Vidili, a farm laborer, continues to be constantly monitored by the staff of San Martino while his attacker, a 58-year-old fellow villager, has been reported by the carabinieri for serious injuries.

The episode happened in the night between Saturday and Sunday in Piazza Rinascita. From an initial reconstruction it seems that the dispute took place around one in the morning, at the end of a dog show. One of the 4-legged owners allegedly tied two dogs to the railing of a house, then walked away with other people. On his return, when he was about to untie the dogs, the owner of the house protested and a rather heated discussion broke out. Then the 58-year-old struck a blow at the owner of the animals who, however, managed to dodge the blow that instead injured his brother Daniele Vidili in the abdomen. Immediately rescued, the farm laborer underwent two surgeries on the kidney and intestine. Yesterday the doctors assigned him 60 days of treatment and absolute rest but to fully resolve the prognosis they are waiting for the next few hours.

In the meantime, the carabinieri of Ghilarza's company have closed the investigation after having collected various testimonies and having also heard the protagonists of the dispute. The 58-year-old, with a clean record, was reported.
