Party in Escolca, for the hundredth anniversary of Marcella Cadoni, known by everyone in the small town at the foot of the Giara di Serri as Tzia Marcella.

To celebrate the remarkable milestone, the director of the local post office Maria Giuseppa Piras, who also on behalf of the provincial director Fabio Avella, wanted to pay homage to Marcella Cadoni, giving her a floral gift and a certificate.

This is because, despite the years, tzia Marcella is a long-time customer of the Escolca post office, as the director explains: "Mrs. Cadoni, born in 1921 and mother of 3 children, as well as grandmother of nine grandchildren and great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren, for many years now and at least once a month, at the post office of the town on the occasion of the collection of the pension: wearing the typical handkerchief of Sardinian women, Mrs. Cadoni withdraws her pension and quietly carries out her operations in counter, meticulous to the cent in the calculations and payments to be made, despite the not more tender age ".

Also for this reason, in the certificate delivered to the birthday girl it was written: “Dear Mrs. Marcella, on the day of her 100th birthday, Poste Italiane extends her best wishes. The occasion is also pleased to thank you for the esteem and affection that you transmit to us on every occasion you come to visit us in the Escolca post office ".
