The reason that led some workers to block the main entrance gate of the Ottana industrial area this morning is simple: "They haven't paid us for a long time and we can't go on like this". Those blocking the entrances are the workers of "Elleeffe impianti" of Quartu, one of the companies involved in the construction of a mega photovoltaic park, on behalf of a multinational.
The owner Gianluca Ferretti and the workers, just under fifty, are no longer willing to wait and hence the protest: "So far every step has been useless," Ferretti remarks. "But this is no longer a sustainable situation. We do the work and we want to be paid."
The entrances, under the control of the police, Digos and Carabinieri, did not remain blocked for long because from Milan, in mid-morning, a phone call arrived. "They finally summoned us, next week we will know if this situation will find a solution", Ferretti reports .
