Day to remember, for the city of Oristano and the post office of Oristano Centro. Mrs. Silvia Franzi, a loyal customer of the headquarters, turns 100 and, on this great and unique occasion, the staff of the post office in via Mariano and the provincial managers of Poste Italiane, wanted to pay homage to her, with a short and cordial ceremony during which a certificate was given to the new centenarian, in the name of the Company, in memory of this important day.

In the text of the parchment, the heartfelt wishes for the 100th birthday: “ Dear Mrs. Silvia, on your 100th birthday, Poste Italiane sends you its best wishes for this important milestone. Oristano, 31 December 2022”

Mrs. Franzi has a "special" relationship with Poste Italiane: she has been a customer for many years, goes personally every month to collect her pension, greatly appreciates the relationship with the counter operators and is a lover of philately.

At the end of the small but intense "ceremony", the new centenary thanked the staff of the Oristano Centro post office and the provincial managers of Poste Italiane with a smile and made an appointment for all those present for next year.

Born in Pula (Istria) on 31 December October 1922, mother of 8 children, grandmother of 13 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 5 great-grandchildren, Signora Silvia had to leave her homeland, Istria, due to the well-known post-war events, arriving in Sardinia in 1946. She worked full-time as a mother and grandmother and, particularly religious, she dedicated her free time to the Church and to the social activities of the Parish. Among his greatest passions are the sea, reading, especially newspapers, and classical music.
