Strict but kind, he didn't want to hear any wrong note, he was very demanding. This is how everyone remembers the maestro of the little musicians of the Sartiglietta. A few weeks ago, in the year of the seventieth anniversary of the birth of the Pro Loco Oristano drummers and trumpeters group, one of the historical members of the Pro Loco group, Pacifico Tratzi, died. But above all, the one who created the mini drummers and mini trumpeters in the 1980s, what has now become a real school.

And now, on the occasion of the traditional summer Sartiglietta on August 11, in the seaside village of Torre Grande, the man who trained entire generations of musicians who now make a good impression during the Sartiglia will be remembered. In agreement with the Tratzi family, the mini drummers and trumpeters will briefly take off their traditional clothes to wear a shirt with the words Scuola di Musici della Sartiglia “Pacifico Tratzi” written on it: this is what the little group will be called from that day on. The two names will also be displayed on a banner created for the occasion. But that's not all. In the coming weeks, in collaboration with the same Pro Loco, there will be a moment during which Pacifico Tratzi will be celebrated in the presence of the Tratzi family and the city institutions.

"His death was sad news for us," the Pro Loco group said, "a void that still leaves us stunned and dismayed today."
