The escape in via Gennargentu and the clumsy attempt to get rid of the drugs were of little use. A 32-year-old man from Oristano and a 23-year-old young man from Decimomannu were stopped and arrested by the Carabinieri of the Oristano Company for possession and dealing of drugs. A third boy managed to escape but the investigation continues.

It all happened early Friday afternoon when the Carabinieri, engaged in a control operation, intercepted three boys in Via Gennargentu who had just met in the San Nicola neighborhood. The young men, at the sight of the soldiers, tried to escape: there was a chase and two were immobilized and ended up in handcuffs. The third tried to get rid of a cellophane bag containing a kilo of marijuana and 513 grams of cocaine.

The drugs were recovered immediately. During the search of the apartment in via Gennargentu where one of the arrested lives, the military found 24 bundles of banknotes of different denominations for a total of 24 thousand euros in addition to several doses of pre-packaged drugs and a significant quantity of doping substance. Investigations are underway to identify the third accomplice.

The 32-year-old and the 23-year-old are instead in Massama prison.
