Another robbery in Nuoro. The criminals acted around 10 and robbed a van of stamped papers in Corso Repubblica in Orgosolo, in the center of the town.

The robbery in the Barbagia municipality comes a few days after the assault on the armored van between Torpè and Lodè, which took place on March 13. According to initial information, the criminals (two or three), with their faces covered and armed with pistols and a rifle, arrived in a white Fiat Scudo without a license plate. The van was carrying tobacco as well as stamped paper. The two employees were unloading the boxes of cigarettes inside the business in a tobacconist's on Corso Repubblica, already busy with residents and a few tourists. While another bandit stopped a car that was coming from the other side, forcing the driver to pull over to block the traffic, the rest of the criminals made them hand over the packages containing the cigarettes - 15 to 20 - and then escaped in a van. According to an initial estimate, the value of the merchandise amounts to several thousand euros.

No one was injured during the lightning-fast action, nor were any shots fired.

The driver and his colleague said they suddenly found themselves facing armed criminals and could do nothing else .

The police were on site, with the carabinieri sealing off the robbery area and interviewing the van driver. This is the third time this has happened in the same place.
