Just last December 28, the council led by mayor Bastiano Congiu announced: «In these days the construction of the Papalope ford has been completed. The total investment amounts to 580 thousand euros. The interventions will guarantee a modern and safe connection between the two banks of the Cedrino river, and will also represent a strategic node for the improvement of the road system, ensuring a more efficient connection with the provincial roads SP46 and SS129».

Today Congiu replies: "The opposition is throwing out figures at random, without even knowing the regulations. For the profession they carry out in life, as Forestry agents, they should know the regulations. The damage is less than expected, everything will soon return to normal."
