The Oloè bridge reopens. Ten years after the cyclone Cleopatra, the crossing of the Sp 46 on the Cedrino, between Dorgali and Oliena, which collapsed on 18 November 2013 causing one victim, died: the superintendent of the state police, Luca Tanzi, is again passable. The intervention cost 6.5 million euros.

Today in Oliena there were the president of the Region, Christian Solinas, and the councilor for Public Works, Pierluigi Saiu. Present were the mayors of the area, the leaders of the Province, the police commissioner and the prefect of Nuoro, as well as the leaders of Ois, Works and Infrastructures of Sardinia, an in-house company of the Region which is part of the Department of Public Works and the implementing body of the 'intervention.

The safety and hydraulic functionality of the infrastructure have been improved, with the doubling of the water flow, previously hindered by the old road embankment. After the presentation of the project to the Province in January, the construction sites opened, until the launch in October, with the installation of the 42 meter steel beams on the shoulders of the bridge.

«We wanted to accelerate a fundamental work for the territory. There have been numerous delays accumulated in previous years and OIS has demonstrated that it can carry out such important works in the best possible way by following up with a strong political will and with the resources that we have made available", said Solinas, who also recalled, together with Saiu, Luca Tanzi, in the presence of the widow of the police superintendent.

The councilor then expressed satisfaction with the intervention carried out by Ois: «A formula that we are replicating on equally important interventions, such as the safety works of the Mughina tunnel, in Nuoro, for which we have already indicated an allocation of 10 million euros in the budget change bill, and the hydrogeological risk mitigation interventions in Olbia".
