The separate cases involved men who, unwilling to accept the end of their relationships, stalked, attacked, and threatened their ex-partners, in some cases even using physical violence.
The most serious case involves a 38-year-old man , arrested by officers from the Olbia police station on orders from the Tempio Prosecutor's Office. The man was located in the city center and taken to the Sassari-Bancali prison.
According to investigators' findings, the suspect allegedly attacked his ex-partner several times, striking her and causing injuries, specifically throwing her to the ground and squeezing her neck in an attempt to strangle her. On another occasion, he allegedly entered her home against her will, refusing to leave until law enforcement arrived.
In recent days, a second case involved a foreign national accused of making death threats against his ex-partner and her new partner, attempting to force her to withdraw the charges against him. The man allegedly stalked the woman, threatened her, and intimidated her.
In one particularly serious incident, he allegedly broke into the victim's home and threatened her with a knife. In another case, the threats occurred on the street, in front of a friend of the woman. The events were documented by video surveillance cameras.
Finally, a third precautionary measure was issued by the Court of Nuoro against a 50-year-old man, also accused of stalking . According to investigators, the man refused to accept the end of his relationship with a young woman from the Nuoro area, going so far as to assault her on several occasions.
The stalking behavior also included the creation of a fake Instagram profile where he posted photos of his ex-girlfriend along with insulting and defamatory comments. The court ordered him to be banned from all municipalities in the province of Nuoro.
