Olbia, suspicious suitcase in the historic center: the bomb squad arrives, the alarm is over

The suspected package bomb in the historic center of Olbia, in via Nanni near the Ettore Pais middle school, turned out to be a false alarm.

The bomb squad of the territorial Carabinieri Department intervened, fenced off the area, closed to cars and pedestrians, and proceeded to neutralize (the alleged) bomb.

The suspicious package was a large suitcase containing clothing and blankets, attributable to a homeless person. The area was reopened to traffic after an hour.
