Shouting "Killers not Welcome," a large group of activists greeted the flight from Tel Aviv, which landed this morning on the runways of the Costa Smeralda.
In front of the arrivals terminal at Olbia airport, protesters organized a peaceful sit-in to demonstrate their opposition to "genocide tourism."
"While genocide is being committed in Gaza and the Palestinian people are being killed by the Zionist entity, there are those who would like to relax and enjoy their holidays on our island, where NATO armies, including the Israeli one, are preparing genocide and imperialist wars within the largest firing ranges in Europe," say the organizers.
And they add: "Sardinia cannot be complicit: no to Zionist tourism on the island." A delegation from the Olbia-Tempio National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI) also participated in the second day of protests in defense of Palestine. The connection between Olbia and Tel Aviv will be active until September 16, and further sit-ins are expected.
