A small ENAV plane ended up off the runway at Olbia airport .

The vehicle, which carries out surveys on the Costa Smeralda runway, had problems during landing. It is not known whether it was due to the strong wind or a broken tire , but the fact is that it ended up off the track and rested on its side.

There were three people on board, fortunately all practically unharmed as far as we know.

The accident occurred around 1.30pm and the fire brigade team located in the airport arrived immediately on site to make the runway safe.

The airport has been closed, departing flights are delayed and arriving ones have been diverted to Alghero .
