Olbia, bomb alert on the plane: passengers evacuated and checks on the runway

The bomb threat has been resolved, but inconveniences and problems remain at Olbia airport.

Specialized personnel from the Carabinieri have completed the checks on board a Eurowings aircraft that landed in Olbia.

On the plane, coming from Cologne, the presence of a bomb was reported during the crossing, the bomb threat was received by the police from the airline itself.

The aircraft, which landed in the afternoon at the Olbia airport, should have left immediately afterwards for Germany , but was evacuated and remained stopped in an airport apron to be subjected to checks. The activities were entrusted to Polaria staff and the Carabinieri.

Costa Smeralda airport remained open. The company, meanwhile, sent another plane for the flight from Olbia.
