The alarm reached the police by telephone : a woman from Nuraminis called the emergency number 112, terrified because her brother was attacking their father with sticks .

Then the immediate intervention of the military , who thus managed to stop the rampage of a 46-year-old, originally from Cagliari : the man, armed with a meter-long piece of wood, was threatening and hitting the 81-year-old father with whom he lives .

The police first disarmed the 46-year-old , who apparently had already received medical assistance in the past for difficulties related to behavioral control. Then they brought him back to calm. Then the arrest and transfer to prison in Uta awaiting the setting of the validation hearing.

The father was subsequently visited by the Medical Guard : he will cope with a few days of prognosis .

The case is one of those for which the "red code" is expected to be activated, therefore the issue of further measures to protect the victim cannot be ruled out in the short term.
