Bathrooms for the Europae? On disabled stalls. A certified e-mail was enough for the municipality to resolve a sensational slip-up.
It was Alfio Uda of the Odv association on the mobility rights of disabled people who sparked the case.
«On our Facebook page we have received more than one report about this shameful abuse in Via Goffredo Mameli in Nuoro - he wrote in the certified email sent to the city institutions - Is it possible that there were no other car parks in which to place those chemical toilets? Was it really necessary to occupy disabled stalls? Do you realize the difficulties we have in parking and getting out with the wheelchair? We ask all the recipients of this PEC to intervene according to their authority and competence to ensure that the necessary measures are taken against those responsible and the state of affairs is restored to its initial state".
In an instant everything was restored and the toilets were moved to the other side of the street to occupy a stall for loading and unloading goods.
