Open-air landfill emergency in two neighborhoods in the city. The industrial area of Pratosardo and the peripheral area of via Dessanay near Badu 'e Carros are invaded by bulky waste.

In the industrial area, car carcasses are the protagonists from via Marisa Bellisario where at least five are found intertwined with brambles and rubbish, to via Efisio Magnani which collects over twenty carcasses of various vehicles, from city cars to trucks. Glass scattered on the asphalt is commonplace. In fact, vehicles are often destroyed in order to insert mattresses, radios, cables, bags of highly polluting waste, foam rubber and even destroyed toilets inside. The tires are flat or stolen, various cars have been set on fire on the front bonnet, and just as many have been broken down with the seats and parts removed. Set on fire together with the rubbish one after the other, they are arranged in rows to create large bonfires on the edges of the trenched roads. The older ones have no license plate, others only have the rear license plate. All around there is desolation, abandoned buildings and lots of dirt. Packaging plastics, bags of unsorted waste, building bricks, plastic and glass bottles, grates, ash. The area is unlivable and impassable.

Moving around the city the situation changes very little, especially in the suburbs. For a few weeks now, Via Dessanay has been the victim of a new open-air landfill. Someone decided to lower the fence of a private property located on the edge of a sidewalk. The result? Bags of waste, plywood furniture and various bulky items have taken up residence, thrown by uncivilized people. The report reached the Councilor for Landscape and Quality of Life, Valeria Romagna, who states: «We have reported for an emergency intervention on Via Dessanay. Analyzes of the waste will be carried out, checking for any clues. As regards the cleaning of the industrial area, the maintenance of the roads is the responsibility of the Consortium."
