Northern Sardinia burns, in Codrongianos houses lapped by flames

The Codrongianos fire , which has been devastating tens of hectares of land for hours, is under control, even if the fire will not go out overnight.

Structures and homes were touched by the flames, but made safe by fire and forestry. The fire reached the cemetery , close to the town. Two Canadair and 4 regional helicopters at work. The teams of the Forestas Agency from the Ploaghe and Sassari shipyards, the teams of the Muros barracellar Company and the fire brigade teams of Sassari and Porto Torres took part.

Another fire occurred in the Municipality of Ozieri in the locality of Mesu e rios: the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Bosa Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the helicopter personnel on board the helicopter from the helicopter base of the CFVA in Bosa. The teams of the Forestas Agency of the Nughedu San Nicolò construction sites, the teams of the Barracellar Company of Ozieri, the team of the Fire Brigade of Ozieri and the volunteers of Ozieri intervened. The fire covered an area of about 150 hectares of wooded and uncultivated pastures.

Other fires in the Municipality of Olzai (2.5 hectares of olive grove involved), Torpè (4 hectares: 3 of olive groves and 1 of uncultivated), San Giovanni Suergiu (2.5 hectares of reeds and overgrown) and Nurri (6.5 hectares of bushy and uncultivated pasture) .
