Flurry of checks during the night in the Quartu nightlife area.

The soldiers of the Carabinieri Station of Quartu are at work with the personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit (NORM) and of the Carabinieri Stations of Maracalagonis, Sinnai, Sestu and of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit (NAS) of Cagliari.

An ethnic market and some bars and restaurants located on the coast were targeted, all found to comply with current health and hygiene regulations. The Carabinieri carried out several checkpoints and verified the situation of 21 people subjected to various alternative regimes to detention.

During the operations, a 17-year-old young man resident in Elmas was reported to the Prefecture of Cagliari as a drug user. Following a personal search, he was found in possession of 0.34 grams of kief.

The Carabinieri, they write in the note, «will also continue to carefully monitor the nightlife areas, with particular attention to nightclubs and the areas of greatest tourist influx, intensifying checks on the main roads to prevent and combat any driving behavior that may put danger to road users, helping to maintain a safe and protected environment for everyone."
