New stadium, Malagò: "Cagliari could host the Women's European Championship."

For Euro 2032, once the hosting contract has been officially awarded, I believe the idea of extending or expanding these powers to other stadiums and training centers with smaller capacities than those permitted by UEFA parameters could be considered. This could open the possibility of hosting the Women's European Championship .
Thus Giovanni Malagò , president of the FIGC, during his hearing at the Culture Commission of the Chamber.
"If one day a national team were to choose, hypothetically, the Empoli or Arezzo stadiums as their training center, because their group is scheduled to host the European Championships in Florence, it would be a shame not to consider this opportunity," Malagò added. "Furthermore, all those facilities, from Genoa to Salerno, from Cagliari to Palermo, which have ambitions or a desire to be in the top five for the European Championships , could still be included in a List B or host the Women's European Championships in the future ."
"Today," he continues, "we have outlined a path whereby a series of major stadiums, with superior requirements, can confirm a series of investment plans. Once this is done, everything will be forwarded to UEFA, which, in October, will certify the first five with additional reserve stadiums. Then the process will begin that will lead to the use of these stadiums. At that point, neighboring venues will also have the opportunity to benefit from a process that will at least not penalize them."
