The "Cuore di Donna" association has donated several medical devices to the University of Sassari. The donation will be directed to the Oncology Department to support patient care. The donation includes 75 single-lumen Picc PowerPicc catheters and 100 sterile, disposable intracavitary ECG cables , devices used in patient care and treatment.

Regarding PICCs, peripherally inserted central venous access devices (PCAs), in particular, they are essential for the safe administration of drug therapies, including oncology treatments, and are of primary importance in the management of patients requiring prolonged treatment. The devices were delivered in recent days to the Medical Oncology Day Hospital, in the presence of the association's representative, Eduarda Rosa De Palma Gomes , and the facility's professionals.

"We thank the 'Cuore di Donna' association for the sensitivity and care they once again demonstrate towards cancer patients and the professionals who care for them on a daily basis," remarked Alessio Cogoni, director of the Medical Oncology Complex Unit at the AOU of Sassari . "This donation is not just a material contribution, but a concrete sign of support for those facing an often long and complex treatment journey. Having adequate tools allows us to make treatments safer and improve the quality of care. Collaboration with these associations is also an important asset, as it strengthens the bond between hospital and community, which is essential in caring for cancer patients."
