A matter of months. These would be the timescales for completing the process for the new Cagliari stadium, at least according to the hope of Sports Minister Andrea Abodi , who spoke about the situation of football facilities in Italy on the sidelines of the Scopigno and Pulici awards ceremony.

A theme, also by virtue of the European Championships in 2032, which could soon see important changes: «The commissioner for stadiums» , explains Abodi, «is a possibility and we are talking about it at Government level, these things are discussed and decided together ». A valid option for managing critical issues, but not the only one: "I don't think a single measure can help fill these gaps," he says. «There are many other forms, starting from a public-private collaboration that the law allows, provides and also facilitates. There is the possibility of purchase, in case the municipalities decide to sell, as happened in Bergamo. There is the possibility of a real estate fund dedicated to stadiums which we are thinking about. We will leave no stone unturned."

Then the minister cited the case of the Sardinian capital, at the head of another small group of cities that could soon count on a new stadium : «I hope that it will be a matter of months for the process to be completed» , he explains regarding Cagliari then adds: «I am thinking of Bologna where there is complete agreement, of the completion of the Bergamo stadium, then of Parma, Genoa, Palermo, Verona, and of stadiums of other categories that are developing projects that determine solutions. We just want to make it easier in all of this."
