A citizen sent a detailed complaint to the mayor of Narbolia, Gian Giuseppe Vargiu. It describes a situation of "severe degradation and a complete lack of supervision along the Is Arenas coastline, particularly on Nurapolis beach." According to the report, there have been "incidents of indecent and sexual conduct, sometimes involving the use of video recording equipment. Furthermore, nudist practices have occurred just a few meters from the campsite entrance, with people freely wandering around without swimsuits, even in the presence of minors."

According to the letter, there has been no shortage of aggressive and threatening reactions toward those who attempt to point out the irregularity. The citizen also points out the lack of signage clearly indicating the prohibition of nudism. This situation, he writes, "induces families to abandon the beach and never return." The letter calls for urgent action, including increased controls, the installation of clear signage, and the rigorous enforcement of fines.

After the report, Mayor Vargiu intervenes.

"We thank the citizen for the information," he states, "but perhaps he would have provided a more effective service by immediately calling the police, so they could take immediate action and impose sanctions."

Regarding enforcement, Vargiu clarifies the administration's limitations. "The Municipality," he explains, "with only one traffic warden on staff, has absolutely no capacity to ensure constant coastal surveillance. Interventions are carried out on a random basis, and we've never encountered situations like this. As for the signs, I don't think they're necessary; people should behave properly and respectfully toward everyone, without prohibitions."
