Muros, the ancient forms of the parish church emerge from the restoration works

Interesting news emerges from the safety work on the roof and foundations of the parish church of Muros dedicated to Saints Gavino, Proto and Gianuario. The interventions brought to light the ancient forms of the building and the vast cemetery area that stood all around.

«After a joint inspection between the municipal administration and officials of the Superintendence, some hypotheses for valorising the testimonies that emerged are being examined by the council to rediscover, and make known to our fellow citizens and beyond, an important historical period of Muros», he declared the mayor Federico Tolu.

The interventions were necessary due to the numerous infiltrations and subsidence of the soil.
