Illness in the car while driving on state road 131, at the crossroads for Muros. It happened in the afternoon while the driver of the vehicle, a seventy-year-old, was traveling with his wife.
While driving he felt ill, so he immediately slowed down, lost control of the vehicle and hit the guardrail, but managed to pull over and avoid the tragedy.
The car ended up in a ditch and, fortunately, none of the occupants were injured, but the man required emergency intervention.
The Areus helicopter intervened on the spot with a doctor and health workers on board. The seventy-year-old, who lost consciousness, was transferred to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital in Sassari where he is hospitalized in serious conditions.
