Motorcycle accident on 131, the girl dies: Francesca Pitzalis didn't make it

Francesca Pitzalis, the 32-year-old young woman who was seriously injured in the accident that occurred yesterday morning at kilometer 9 of Highway 131, did not make it: the girl was traveling on a Kawasaki which, for reasons yet to be ascertained, collided with a Lancia Y traveling in the same direction, towards Sassari.

The girl, born in Cagliari, was perhaps returning to Tuili, where she had moved a few years ago. After the impact she was thrown to the ground. His condition immediately appeared serious to the 118 rescuers, who arrived on site after calls from some motorists. The driver of the Lancia Y also remained at the scene of the accident and contributed to the reconstruction of the incident carried out by the Polstrada officers who arrived from Sanluri.

Francesca Pitzalis was urgently transferred to Brotzu, where doctors tried to save her but unfortunately her injuries proved lethal.

The thirty-two-year-old's organs will be removed and the death of a young woman will be able to give new life to patients waiting for a transplant.
