Fires are still a source of concern in Sardinia, and today was another busy day for the regional firefighting system: 23 fires were reported across the region , one of which required the use of regional aircraft. The most worrying incident occurred in the S'Arrideli area, in the San Gavino Monreale district.

The forest fire threatened a rural home , requiring the intervention of a helicopter from the Fenosu Forestry Corps base. The extinguishing operations were coordinated by the Sanluri Forestry Station, with support from ground teams.

The intervention of the Cagliari forestry police was crucial, promptly evacuating the residents of the house threatened by the flames. Fortunately, thanks to the rapid response, no damage was sustained to the house or the agricultural vehicles present.

Two Forestas teams from the Gonnosfanadiga-Monte Omu and Villacidro construction sites also provided support , as well as a team of volunteers from the San Gavino Monreale-Euro2001 association.
