More fires in northern Sardinia, Canadair in action

It is still an emergency in the Sassari area, because the fire alarm has not ended.
After the fires that besieged the Bonorva area in recent days, burning dozens of hectares of land, since last night the flames have opened a new front in the Santa Lucia area, involving the Forestry Corps, the firefighters, the barracelli and the protection civil.
Canadair planes have also been in action since the early hours of the morning, taking off from Olbia airport, while the teams on the ground try to limit the advance of the fire.
Emergency also in Alà dei Sardi: the Forestry Corps is intervening with the support of a helicopter coming from the Farcana and Super Puma operational base in Sa Testinosa.
On site, the DOS (Director of Fire Extinguishing Operations) belonging to the Buddusò Forestry Corps patrol coordinates the firefighting operations.
