He had employed foreign workers without residence permits and violated several construction site safety regulations: the manager of a construction company operating in Monti was reported by the Carabinieri of the local station, who, together with personnel from the Sassari Labor Inspectorate, carried out an inspection.

Following the inspections, the administrator was also reported for not having a credit license, a missing POS terminal, and the presence of unsuitable scaffolding. Furthermore, an administrative fine of over €15,000 was issued, in addition to the suspension of business activity, for employing illegal workers, for serious safety violations, and for failing to notify UNILAV in advance. The safety coordinator during the construction phase was also dismissed.
