He had two Molotov cocktails in his garden. They were on a table in front of one of the busiest streets in Santa Maria Navarrese. The devices were ready for use.

Yesterday, when Carabinieri officers from the Baunei station and the Lanusei squad raided the home of a 63-year-old man under investigation for receiving stolen goods (an old bicycle stolen last May), they immediately found Molotov cocktails and a 5-litre canister containing residue from the petrol used to make incendiary devices.

The man was arrested and transferred to the San Daniele prison in Lanusei.

The investigating judge of the Lanusei Court validated the arrest, confirming the precautionary custody measure.
