A community open to the arts, once again claiming its place in the island's crowded cultural scene. From August 27th to September 10th, the Quartu Cultura Festival returns to Molentargius Park , building on the success of last year's debut. Visitors are welcomed at the entrance on Via Don Giordi , where theater, dance, and live music await, with renowned guests such as Caterina Murino , Raphael Gualazzi , Giancarlo Giannini, and many others.
Curated again in this second edition by the Quartu Cultura Foundation , the festival intertwines different sensibilities and artistic languages, further expanding the commitment of recent years to promoting cultural itineraries in the city . With the idea of bringing together and engaging the dimensions of art and entertainment with the evocative and precious natural setting, a total of five evenings are planned, starting strictly at 9 pm , with each evening presented by journalist and radio host Francesca Figus .
The program. It begins on Thursday 27th , with the acclaimed Cagliari actress Caterina Murino starring in the revised Greek tragedy " Medea ", a show directed by Orlando Forioso and produced by the Teatro di Bastia : accompanied on stage by the six voices of the choral group A Filetta , the play thus recovers the ancient concept of tragic writing and staging as a combination of words, music, song and dance, but also liturgy , elements enriched today by the potential offered by new technologies.
The series continues on Saturday the 29th , in the dialogue between music and literature of " Le parole note ", with veteran Giancarlo Giannini and saxophonist Marco Zurzolo . A journey into the female universe without geographical or temporal limits , in the wake of both contemporary authors such as Pablo Neruda, Garcia Lorca and Marquez, as well as immortal classics such as Shakespeare, Angiolieri and Salinas: the unmistakable voice of the Ligurian actor leads the audience into sensual, amorous, melancholic and ironic atmospheres, accompanied by the Neapolitan musician and his quartet .
The spotlight will be back on September 3rd for the Raphael Gualazzi Trio , which sees the famous pianist from the Marche region on stage with Anders Ulrich on double bass and Gianluca Nanni on drums, in a refined tribute to acoustic music that moves between the Afro-American school and remixes of Italian song and operatic tradition , without obviously forgetting the great successes signed by Gualazzi himself during his years of tireless activity.
On September 5th , great dance will conquer the Park, with Simone Repele and Sasha Riva presenting " Rendez-Vous ": a show in which choreography intertwines and transforms movement into an intimate language , within which bodies and sounds brush against each other, changing the relationships at play and inviting spectators to pause, observe and recognize themselves. The last appointment is on September 10th , with music returning to the forefront with Karima and Dado Moroni : one of the most recognizable voices on the Italian scene meets a world-renowned jazz piano master, in a vibrant sonic journey that spans soul, vocal jazz, third stream and lounge music .
