The defense of the Cagliari brothers Gianmarco and Filippo Tunis, aged 23 and 19, will appeal to the Court of Appeal. They were arrested on charges of killing 23-year-old Leonardo Mocci, who was shot in the heart on the night between April 22nd and 23rd in Piazza Settimio Severo, Monserrato.
Attorney Riccardo Floris, representing the two young men, will file an appeal requesting their release. The defense argues that the testimonies cited in the order, which supposedly establish the serious evidence of guilt against the two young men, are in fact conflicting, and the entire pretrial detention order is flawed.

Investigative documents revealed that one of the witnesses interviewed reported that the Fiat Panda in which Mocci and his friend had arrived in Piazza Settimio Severo had then fled with two people aboard. The Prosecutor's Office, however, believes that only the young man from Serramanna was in the car, and after the murder, he fled in his friend's car. Meanwhile, the search is underway for the fourth man who, according to witnesses, allegedly participated in the attack on Mocci's friend, who was beaten and robbed of the €10,000 he had with him to purchase the hashish.
