Mayors and municipal councils of the children of Borore and Dualchi installed

The historic council chamber in via Eleonora, named after the late politician of the Seventies and Eighties, Nino Carrus, was filled to capacity. The emotion was great among the protagonists of the day, Andrea Pilu and Sofia Pilu, mayor and deputy of the Borore children's municipal council and Antonio Marras and deputy Giorgia Sedda, of the Dualchi municipal council.

The boys took their seats in front of the prefect of Nuoro, Giancarlo Dionisi, the mayors of Borore, Tore Ghisu and Dualchi, Nino Muroni, the parish priests Don Battistino Mongili and Father Salvatore Carboni, as well as the principal Sergio Masia, with the presence of the commander of the company of the Macomer carabinieri, Giovanni Maria Seu and the municipal police, Barbara Demelas.

A special, almost historic day for the two municipalities where the institutions are fighting to give a future to their municipalities.

«A solemn and important moment for our communities», says the mayor of Borore, Tore Ghisu, «because our children are starting to think about the institutions and make a significant contribution to better face the future».

On the other hand, the mayor of Dualchi, Nino Muroni, adds: «It is an important moment of civic education for our communities, important for the new generations».

The Prefect of Nuoro, Giancarlo Dionisi: «I won't deny that the moment is exciting, because you guys represent the future and are our hope. Your task is to bring us to a healthier world. You must be convinced that being a mayor is the best job in the world." So today becomes a special day for the kids.

A fact underlined by the head teacher, Sergio Masia: «In my long career this is one of the most important and significant moments. It is important to put yourself at the service of your citizens."
