She passed the century mark with a smile and the weight of a long experience, which she shared with her family and those who were close to her. Margherita Barca, originally from Osilo, turned 102, a milestone spanning over a century, reached with the support of her unwavering religious faith. Thus, Mayor Giovanni Ligios, along with Councilor Salvatore Manca and Councilor Valentino Canu, visited her to offer her heartfelt wishes and to present her with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the municipal administration.

On this special occasion, general practitioner Alessandro Pazzona also expressed his affection for his fellow citizen, his patient. "There are sunrises, sunsets, and memories that enhance the history of these regions. There are lives that transcend time with the strength of kindness, and they must be celebrated."

This is the comment of the mayor, who underlines how Osilo continues to record a high number of centenarians, who reach and exceed one hundred years of age in optimal conditions.
