A forty-four-year-old hiker ended up in hospital after falling from a rock in the San Pietro Paradiso area, in the Maracalagonis territory. The alarm was raised by the Alpine and Speleological Rescue.

The Active Guard shift immediately rushed to the scene, with 15 technicians from the Iglesias, Cagliari and Medio Campidano stations, including a doctor, who gave first aid to the man.

At the same time, the Cagliari-based helicopter, "Echo Lima 3", was activated, with the medical staff who immediately stabilized the injured man, who was then transported to Brotzu. His conditions are not serious.
