He passed away at the age of 73, never knowing the truth about his daughter Manuela's tragic death. Giorgio Murgia, father of the sixteen-year-old girl found dead in the Tuvixeddu Canyon in 1995, died on Monday .

On the Giustizia per Manuela Facebook page, a final farewell: "Our hero." A man who carried within himself the enormous pain and burden of the death of a daughter whose whole life lay ahead of him. Just ten days ago , Manuela's family had once again expressed their gratitude: "We will never give up; we will fight with every means possible for our beloved Manu. With faith in the will of men of good will." Now, a new wave of grief follows the death of a father who demanded "justice for his little girl."

The case of Manuela Murgia, found dead in the canyon of the Tuvixeddu necropolis on February 5, 1995, is still ongoing: the case, initially opened as a homicide, was twice dismissed as suicide, and then reopened on March 30 of last year, still under the homicide hypothesis. The family believes the sixteen-year-old was killed and then abandoned in the canyon.
