A man accused of aggravated sexual assault has been placed under house arrest in Sassari . Yesterday, the Carabinieri applied the measure ordered by the investigating judge to the suspect, who, according to the charges, approached and groped a pair of women on two occasions on Via Genova.
The victims of the incidents reported the incident, and the Carabinieri began an investigation . Through testimonies and photographic evidence , they reconstructed what happened on June 5, 2026, successfully identifying the man. A few hours later, in the same area, he encountered the two women and on both occasions groped the victims' private parts without their consent, before fleeing.
The Carabinieri's reconstruction of the case revealed serious evidence of the man's guilt, conclusions assessed by the Sassari Public Prosecutor's Office, which, considering the seriousness of the facts, requested and obtained from the judge house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet.
