In the carriage, we set off. On Easter Monday the Little Green Train will resume travel on the route between Macomer and Tresnuraghes, whose activity was suspended due to maintenance work along the line. The new season of the toy train is therefore inaugurated throughout the island. For this occasion, the Esedra cooperative, to which the management is entrusted, is organizing the first trip on April 1st, aboard the historic Bauchiero carriage from 1913, the same model in which the writer David Herbert Lawrence traveled in 1921.

The appointment is scheduled for 9 am on Easter Monday, in Macomer station. The train then enters the territories marked by the ancient pastoral tradition and makes its first stop in the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria di Corte, in Sindia, a church built in 1147 and considered among the oldest in Europe.

The journey will continue to Tinnura, with a visit to the town of art and will end in Tresnuraghes, with a stop and tasting of Malvasia and typical local sweets. The train will still not be able to continue its journey towards Bosa Marina, as the line, which has undergone extensive maintenance and restoration after the fire in the summer of 2021 which damaged it, is still not available. Arst expects to deliver it as early as next May. Meanwhile, the Esedra cooperative will continue its trips on April 25th and 28th and then on May 1st. The little green train will also leave in succession on the other tourist lines in Sardinia.
