He was working in his workshop when the hydraulic jack fell on him. A craftsman from Loceri was involved in an accident at work around 5pm today, which resulted in the semi-amputation of the second and third fingers of his left hand.

The 56-year-old man was rescued by the crews of two ambulances, one basic and one medical. To shorten the time and in light of the delicacy of the case, Echo Lima 3 was raised from the Elmas base, whose intervention was ordered by the 118 operations center of Sassari.

The craftsman also suffered chest trauma as a result of the impact with the hydraulic jack. The medical ambulance transported the patient to the helipad of the Lanusei firefighters from where the Areus helicopter transferred him to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari where the doctors will attempt to reconstruct the limbs.
