Also for 2022 the accesses to the famous Pelosa beach in Stintino will be limited. The City Council confirmed the limited number to ensure environmental protection and public safety.

"The experience of the past years has been winning - says the mayor Antonio Diana - both from the point of view of the environment and for the users of the beach who have understood and appreciated what has been done in recent years for the protection of these places, with the 'introduction of provisions and prohibitions ".

Every day access will be allowed to 1,500 people starting from 1st June and until 30th September, from 8 to 18. Beyond these hours there will be no restrictions.

Furthermore, it is specified, minors up to the age of 12 and those who reach the area for work or service reasons are not included in the 1,500 access threshold.
"For us - adds Francesca Demontis, councilor for tourism - it is important to continue with the Pelosa safeguard project. We will maintain both the number of entrances and the online payment methods. The main element will be the ban on smoking on the beach. We are convinced of this. has already brought clearly visible results from an environmental point of view and will be a point of reference for the future ".
The entrance fee has been set at 3.50 euros and, for those who have paid it, the use of the toilets and showers will be free. Instead, toilets and showers will be paid (0.50 and 0.60 euros) for those who have not paid the access fee.
"The limited number and the regulation of access and use of the Pelosa beach - underlines the deputy mayor Angelo Schiaffino - are now a fixed point of our territory. A system that has set an example for many other realities. Once upon a time these were not too distant. ideas were considered by the most unattainable and utopian. We believed in them and now they are now indispensable cornerstones. It is unthinkable to do without them ".
