A two-day-old baby girl was rushed overnight from Sardinia to the Peninsula with a flight operated by the Air Force, 31st flock.

The little girl was at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari and was loaded aboard a Falcon 50 which took off from Ciampino and landed in Alghero. Then the departure for Genoa where an ambulance accompanied her to the Gaslini pediatric hospital.

The operations were coordinated by the Top Situation Room of the Air Squad Command.
