An electric blackout has sent the Lanusei hospital into havoc. The blockade, which took place around 4.30, affected not only the main system, but also the emergency generators.

In fact, until 12.30, all the garrison of Our Lady of Mercy remained in the dark with paralyzed activities. A situation that has created many inefficiencies, both immediately and during the morning.

Some operations have been suspended, while three intensive care patients and a waiting woman, who will have to undergo a caesarean, have been transferred to San Francesco di Nuoro.

The power surge also damaged the hospital's internal power generators, which were unable to guarantee continuity to the entire apparatus, where dozens of specialized technicians worked.

Firefighters and Carabinieri are also on site. Investigations are underway to verify the exact sequence of the events that occurred.
