A petty argument at a bar in Laconi escalated into violence. A 25-year-old local man was arrested by Carabinieri officers from the Isili branch on charges of mistreatment of family members and cohabitants.

The intervention took place on the evening of November 9, after a panicked woman called 112 for help, reporting that she had been slapped in the face by her partner during an argument.

Officers from the Operations and Mobile Unit responded immediately, finding the young man clearly agitated, likely under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent investigations revealed a pattern of repeated domestic violence over time.

The victim was rescued by 118 and transported to the hospital in Oristano, where doctors gave her a 30-day prognosis.

After the usual formalities, the 25-year-old was removed from his home and placed under house arrest. The validation hearing, held on November 11, confirmed the precautionary measures ordered.
