Fatal injuries following the impact of the boat against the rocks . This is the outcome of the autopsies , ordered by the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office, on the bodies of Lillo Satta and Maurizio Rossi , the two fishermen who died on Saturday 25 January in the shipwreck of their boat, which ended up against the rocks in the waters in front of Isola Rossa, in northern Sardinia .

The forensic medical examination on the bodies of the two victims of the shipwreck near the beach of La Marinedda , strengthens the theory that death occurred after the vessel "Garupa" ended up against the reef during a fishing trip. One of the two fishermen had a deep facial trauma . The autopsy was performed by the forensic doctor, Angela Seddaiu, on the orders of the Tempio Prosecutor's Office which opened an investigation, while Salvatore Lorenzoni was appointed expert witness for Maurizio Rossi, and the professional Francesco Serra expert witness for Lillo Satta. The two friends were trapped inside the boat, a 6.5-meter semi-cabin boat that had capsized after impacting the rocks. The alarm was raised at 12.40 and their bodies were recovered in the afternoon around 4.00 pm, while some reports would have reached the competent authorities in the morning at 9.30 am, one of the elements being investigated. The bodies of the two amateur fishermen have been returned to their families.

The tragedy occurred on the morning of Saturday, January 25. The vessel was spotted from the beach, and two divers later noticed the two lifeless bodies trapped inside. At 12:40 the alarm was raised to the Porto Torres Coast Guard and 118. Coast Guard patrol boats and firefighter divers arrived on site and extracted the bodies. The vessel is under seizure and the Coast Guard is investigating to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. The hull has a deep gash at the bow, which would indicate the impact with the rocks. The Prosecutor's Office is also checking how the rescue operation was carried out: some people have declared in posts on social media that they had spotted the capsized vessel from land around 9:30 and had reported it to the Port Authority.
