Irgoli, attempted robbery at Antioco Murru's house: the former owner of the cured meat factory beaten up by bandits

Attempted robbery failed last night in Irgoli, against Antioco Murru, the former owner of the homonymous sausage factory.

Two masked thugs broke into his home, surprising the former businessman and his wife.

The robbers in an unsuccessful attempt to extort money from him, before running away from the house empty-handed, beat up the landlord who was taken to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro because of his injuries.

The carabinieri of the Nuoro provincial command investigate the episode.
