Today it's Terrata's turn: ARPAS has issued a notification of abnormal water levels in the sea near Golfo Aranci, prompting Mayor Giuseppe Fasolino to issue a bathing ban .

The measure comes in light of the periodic analyses conducted on the water, with numerous fixed sampling points off the coast of Sardinia.

Escherichia coli levels were found to be 1184 Ucf per 100 milliliters. The limit is 500. However, the problem was also detected for intestinal enterococci, which recorded a peak of 254 compared to a tolerance threshold of 200. To be clear: these are bacteria found in the human intestine.

The samples were taken yesterday, and the Regional Environmental Agency sent the notification to the Municipality today. Counter-analyses are expected by the 24th.
