Influenza A claims a victim in Ogliastra.

Adriano Carracoi, a 59-year-old craftsman from Bari Sardo, had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Lanusei hospital for a month. Yesterday afternoon he lost his battle.

The "killer" flu is the same one that, in 2019, killed Carla Pisanu, also from Bari Sardo, who was 35 years old and had just given birth to twins in the Sassari hospital. Like Carracoi, she had been ill in early January and had given up in early February.

Carracoi had been struck by a violent influenza virus and a subsequent serious form of acute respiratory failure.
