In the car with 33 craft candles, 4 young people from Ogliastra are in trouble

Checks and searches carried out by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Lanusei have borne fruit. A group of boys aboard two cars was subjected to checks and found in possession of 33 sticks which , after the investigations by the Nuoro investigative unit, turned out to be handcrafted devices of non-professional workmanship.

They weren't packaged with paper, therefore with the sole purpose of creating a deafening noise, but with PVC pipes and gunpowder inside, soft wood used as a cap and moldable iron wire to press everything together. The final effect, therefore, would have been the big noise but above all a barrage of splinters of plastic, iron and wood, which could also be lethal.

The material will be analyzed and further investigations will be carried out on the substance and on the presence of any DNA fingerprints.

The four young men, all from Ogliastra, were reported and their mobile phones were seized to trace the production of the artifacts.

The operation was carried out by the Carabinieri of Tortolì .
