Three dead and 197 injured in 519 road accidents in Cagliari .
These are the numbers of the first six months of activity carried out during the year by the municipal police of the Sardinian capital on the front of road accidents.
According to statistics, 37 trucks, 570 cars and 85 motorcycles were involved in the accidents. Five cases in which scooters were involved, as many injured, one of which seriously. The accidents, according to what was ascertained by the municipal police, were caused by the failure to control the vehicle , the failure to respect the right of way for cars and pedestrians, the change of lane and maneuvers performed without caution. As many as 45 pedestrians hit, two victims, 15 seriously injured.
In terms of penalties, 177 motorists were fined because they were not covered by insurance .
35 drivers reported in Cagliari for driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or for refusing to undergo tests. 51 licenses withdrawn, 2 people reported for road homicide, 3 for road injuries and another three for failure to rescue.
